BurstIQ’s Research Foundry comprises a plethora of health-focused blockchain enthusiasts that work alongside companies from startups to global enterprises. Research Foundry is a free utility service for all of BurstIQ’s coalition members and has made great strides in the healthcare world.

In this series, we feature the stories of members who are using Research Foundry and how their vision aligns with blockchain and health access. Many individuals volunteer their time to mentor startups regarding challenges surrounding compliance, regulations, and scalability. Today we caught up with Raymond Rubin, Proprietor of Claridge Management in London.

Who is Raymond Rubin?

Raymond was introduced to technology startups as a business and credit analyst working for a specialist leasing company within HSBC Group at the very start of the UK ‘greenfield’ technology startup era when he devised the first-ever dedicated equipment leasing program for this sector.

For many years Raymond has been mentoring tech startups, recently focusing more on business development for scale-ups in SaaS, med-tech, sustainability and certain other verticals.

His client base is very international, ranging from the UK, the Balkans, Indonesia, Israel, the United States. In Israel, Raymond is involved in the innovative medical device space.

In response to COVID-19, Raymond teamed up with Research Foundry to volunteer his expertise and connect innovators.

Raymond Rubin on Blockchain

Raymond sees blockchain as the missing ingredient to transform the rigid corporate-dominated silos of data, compliance, and communication to a patient-centric focus. The community of medical professionals and BurstIQ are the key innovators and practitioners that are bringing it to life.

Raymond Rubin on Research Foundry

Raymond is excited at the prospects of Research Foundry. He’s especially thrilled about introducing it to the UK which has seen its cumbersome but ‘battle-hardened’ National Health Service finally using the COVID-19 crisis to embrace innovation and technology.

Raymond Rubin serves on BurstIQ’s Research Foundry as a dedicated mentor to up-and-coming healthcare blockchain innovators and entrepreneurs from around the world. He has a wide range of ‘live’ contacts in the med-tech and wider health action community and can help market these, negotiate terms, introduce funding and troubleshoot; using his credit analysis training to ‘de-risk.’

One of the BurstIQ coalition members that has highly recommended Raymond Rubin is Guillermo Diaz, Founder of VaNeMa Technology and Services. Here is what Guillermo shared with BurstIQ about what he would say to Raymond about Raymond’s mentorship, knowledge, and experience:

I am writing to you to say how grateful I am for the mentorship you’ve given me over the past few months. Having the opportunity to learn from you has made a substantial change in my career as a healthcare technology entrepreneur. When we first began working together, I never imagined I would be able to make as much progress as I have in my entrepreneurship that hope soon we will launch to the world. Thanks to you, I moved up to a better concept and connected to several great companies to partner in with this ecosystem, so you really sped up my project. Thanks to Wendy for introducing me with you and so proud to meet you!!!

Dr. Wendy Charles, BurstIQ’s Chief Scientific Officer noted that Raymond has generously offered his time to make introductions and share opportunities.

Because Raymond has recognized the tremendous potential of blockchain in healthcare and life sciences, Raymond has identified problems within NHS and other organizations that could benefit from blockchain technology. He has selflessly educated individuals about blockchain and helped to identify opportunities for BurstIQ team members Research Foundry partners to address problems using blockchain. It is an absolute joy to interact with Raymond to hear his passion for helping others and for making a difference in healthcare and life sciences.
